In this workshop, participants will learn fundamental information about child development. The workshop will cover the contemporary stages of development, birth order considerations, attachment styles, as well as intervention and principles to help navigate and foster growth within young people.
Jimmie Heags, MA, LSC, LPCC, LADC, ACS, has worked in the field of education and counseling in multiple capacities for more than 20 years. Specifically, Jimmie has worked with people of color, couples, parents, and various support groups. His primary area of specialty includes trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and other related mental health diagnosis.
Jimmie Heags earned a master’s degree in psychotherapy from Adler Graduate School and hold licenses in School, Clinical, and Drug and Alcohol Counseling. Additionally, he frequently consults with educators, parents, and caregivers in social emotional interventions. He uses a collaborative approach that involves both challenging and encouraging clients to have the courage to be imperfect.
