This workshop will look at behavioral challenges in foster care and ways to help parents successfully navigate these challenges. We will begin by looking at behavioral challenges that are common in foster children and then discuss parenting techniques that do (and do not) work. We will discuss foster parent needs as well as explore how these behavioral challenges impact the foster family.
Dr. Emma Hansen has worked with children for 3 decades, as a parent, a family childcare provider, and a foster parent. She is currently a trainer for early childhood professionals specializing in behaviors and trauma informed care.
