JoVi Anderson, MA, LPCC is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who utilizes expressive therapies. JoVi offers individual, family, couples counseling, and play therapy. She values person-centered therapy and believes in bringing creativity, collaboration, and exploration of meaning-making to her sessions with patients and families.

JoVi’s therapeutic approach is comprehensive based on what each client needs. She typically utilizes a variety of approaches including Play Therapy, Sand-Tray, Thera-play, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She completed her undergraduate degree at Gustavus Adolphus studying psychology and music; and obtained her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Bethel University. Her previous experiences include work with at-risk populations including incarcerated men, adults with disabilities, victims of domestic violence, at-risk women, children, and adolescents. JoVi has experience across various settings including safe houses, sexual assault hotlines, correctional facilities, intensive-outpatient programming and day treatment.

JoVi believes in the power of the experience: challenging patients and families to interact in a new way and helping to get unstuck by exploring new ways of thinking and relating.
