Dr. Siek will specifically focus on reasons why anxiety is on the rise among this population along with practical solutions on how caregivers and professionals can help support this population experiencing anxiety.

Dr. Heather Siek is a full-time Assistant Professor of Psychology at Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM). She also is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Minnesota for the past 14 years primarily working with childhood anxiety and early childhood trauma within the non-profit setting. Last year, she opened her own small private practice where she continues to see clients on a part-time basis in addition to teaching full-time. She also is an adoptive mother of a 6-year-old girl named Audrey.
