(February 2023) This workshop will address sexual behaviors children display, that put both them and others at risk. It will include a discussion of what might be considered typical, non-offending behaviors to more extreme actions that are exploitive/harmful or traumatic. Different age groups will be included, from early childhood to teens. The discussion will offer some strategies and interventions for children and their families.
Deena McMahon, MSW, LICSW, has spent 40-years working with children and families who have experienced profound trauma, loss, and marginalization. She is an expert in attachment dynamics, adoption, sexual abuse, and developmental trauma. She also has extensive experience working with tribal communities statewide and nationally.
