Each month, Foster Adopt Minnesota partners with local news and print media to feature a Minnesota child or sibling group in need of an adoptive family. These partnerships are invaluable in helping to find homes for Minnesota children and raising awareness about the need for adoptive families in all Minnesota communities. Below are our current newspapers partners and their most recent waiting child feature.
Minnesota’s Star Tribune newspaper features Minnesota Waiting Kids (Minnesota children currently in foster care) in their Variety section monthly.

Ambreyah (Amber), 17
Ambreyah (Amber) is a vibrant, witty, and eccentric teenager with a spunky and outgoing personality. She enjoys socializing with peers and adults and learning more about those around them. Amber’s favorite hobbies are arts and crafts, fashion, and participating in cosplay. She enjoys fishing, swimming, playing video games, and watching TV. Amber has a huge heart for all types of animals, she especially like reptiles. Amber’s favorite foods are sushi, Chinese food, and popcorn.
Amber needs a family who can provide support as she approaches adulthood. A structured family who can provide realistic expectations would be best.
Following adoption, Ambreyah will need to maintain contact with their grandmother and siblings.

The Duluth News Tribune newspaper partnered with Foster Adopt Minnesota in February, 2019. Minnesota Waiting Kids (Minnesota children currently in foster care) will be featured monthly in their Sunday Pursuits section.

Robertis polite, well-mannered, intelligent, and has a dry sense of humor. He enjoys playing video games, board games, and cards games. Robert has a great imagination, loves to tell stories, and enjoys being challenged academically.
Robert needs a nurturing family that can provide structure and stability.
Following adoption, Robert will need to maintain contact with his siblings.

This Month's Adam's Publishing Group Featured Child
Riley likes to spend quality time telling stories and jokes. He is very knowledgeable in many topics and enjoys talking about dinosaurs, science, bugs, and how things are built. Riley has a great imagination and likes putting these thoughts on paper. He loves keeping his hands busy and has a significant interest in Legos, inventing, and building things. Riley has also shown a great interest in Pokémon and Dungeon and dragons. Riley enjoys reading and does a great job teaching others about his interests. Riley has lots of energy and finds joy in riding his bike, going to the park, hiking, swimming, soccer, 4 square, and downhill skiing.
Riley treasures bugs and creatures and cares deeply about his bearded dragon. He would do well in a two-parent home that can provide structure and routine.
Only families from Minnesota and bordering states are being considered at this time.
Press Publications partnered with Foster Adopt Minnesota in May, 2020. Minnesota Waiting Kids (Minnesota children currently in foster care) will be featured monthly in weekly newspapers located in the Northeast suburbs of the metropolitan area of Minneapolis/St. Paul (Shoreview , North Oaks, White Bear, Forest Lake, Stillwater , Centerville, Lino Lakes).

Jamie is artistic, funny, charismatic, and kind. She enjoys connecting with her friends at school, playing with dolls, playing outside, and swimming. Jamie is eager to find her forever home and start building new memories and traditions. She appreciates spending quality time with her caregivers, enjoying special girl days, and getting her nails done. Because Jamie can’t pick just one, her favorite color is the rainbow.
Following adoption, Jamie will need to maintain contact with her siblings and her maternal aunts.
