Foster Adopt Minnesota began a professional collaboration forty years ago with 5 Eyewitness News to produce a featured segment now called “Kid Connection” on Twin Cities Live and have recently added an interview segment on KSTP’s morning program, Minnesota Live.
In the feature called “Kid Connection“, reporter Kelli Hanson from Twin Cities Live profiles Minnesota’s Waiting Children. The segment on Minnesota Live, hosts Megan Newquist and Chris Egert, interview professionals from organizations throughout Minnesota highlighting programs that support the foster, kinship and adoption communities. This recruitment effort has raised awareness of Minnesota’s Waiting Children and contributed to permanency for children and youth.
